Coffee Description
It is grown by 71 farmers in Huehuetenango, western Guatemala.
The coffee is managed by the Peña Roja producers' cooperative, which ensures high quality. The Huehuetenango region is located deep in the interior of Guatemala and is rich in nature.
Each farmer has their own wet mill, and after cleaning the coffee with mountain water, they bring it to the cooperative and process it in a dry mill.
According to a trading company representative who visited the area, the farmers are hardworking and considerate of the natural environment, practicing farming methods in harmony with nature by conserving the soil, reusing water, and using organic farming methods.
